October 3rd and 4th :
We are on a British Airways 747-400 cruising at a speed greater than 1000 km/h at an altitude of 11277 meters. The tailwind is so strong, that we arrive too early and have to circle over London for 30 minutes. The pilot finally lowers the airplanes undercarriage ( landing gear for you yankees) and we can land.
Dinner is in Germany at a monastery brew pub in Zwiefalten and I slow down my driving a bit after a couple of monks beer and yetlag setting in. We meet Sonja again in her house in Biberach.
October 5th :
Sunny, warm day in Biberach and we spent all afternoon in the Jordan Bath with hot springwater pools, neck-, back-, footmassages etc. We love those German public baths ! We have dinner with Sonja in the restaurant
” Green Tree” , which is run by the same family for the last 130 years.
German jokes from the menu ( not funny for foreigners) : Guest enters restaurant and says to waiter : I am so super thirsty. Waiter : Would you like me, first to bring you some water. Guest (upset) : I said I am thirsty, not dirty !
